fucking bullshit
The federal judge delaying the suspensions today is ridiculous. The language of the bargaining agreement is very clear and the players took a supplement that was neither listed as ok or not ok due to lack of regulation, thus taking said supplement is an unnecessary personal risk and deserves to be punished. The stay of suspension is clearly just a move to help the Vikings make the playoffs and not lose a bunch of money. Its fucking stupid!

I agree. I never thought I'd say this, but g-ddamn those activist judges! Think it's a coincidence the judge is a St. Paul judge--who's staying the suspension of the two most vital members of his favorite football team's defense at a crucial point in the playoff hunt? Yeah, it's not a coincident. The guy should have his background investigated and his judging license stripped. (Seriously, tho, from everything I've read it seems unlikely that these players will have a case, but with how slow the wheels of justice turn and everything, the stay on their suspensions may last through the end of the season... if, tho, this does end up making some legal headway, I frankly think it's a case of both sides being kind of stupid, but the league a little bit moreso: sure, they can hide behind the letter of the rules in the collective bargaining agreement, but the players surely have the spirit of it on their side, and it sounds like there was enough vagueness going on w/r/t this particular supplement and the reported fact that some of the players tried calling the number the league had set up for information and weren't actually able to get any information from it. Yes, it is stupid to be taking a supplement that's not on the approved list, but it also wouldn't be too surprising to me if some court ruled that the enforcement of the agreement by the league was stupid. which, then, would put the collective bargaining agreement in jeopardy, maybe, I think... which seems like a very bad thing, that could easily lead to another strike... and in the end that would be the Vikings fault. I hate the Vikings.
